2 Xbox games that also exist on PC

Xbox has produced some riveting games over the years, with some of the most successful being the Forza Motorsport and Halo series. The following are two games available on both the Xbox and PC platforms:

Minecraft

Minecraft is a popular video game that was originally created by Markus Persson, a Swedish programmer. It involves breaking and arranging bricks. It at first involved gamers building structures for protection against nocturnal creatures, but with time, the game evolved, and players started working together to build enormous, wonderful things. The building blocks are mainly textured cubes in a 3D generated environment. Activities in the game include gathering resources, exploration, combat and crafting. There are multiple gaming modes such as Survival, which requires the player to gather resources to develop the world around him and maintain his health. There is also Creative mode where there are unlimited building resources and the ability to fly. In Adventure mode, players make use of maps created by others. Minecraft’s first PC release was in 2009, with the full version being released towards the end of 2011. Moreover, the Xbox 360 and Live versions were released in May, 2012.

Alien: Isolation

Alien: Isolation is a first person horror genre game. It was based on Alien, a science fiction film by Ridley Scott. Its title refers to an extraterrestrial creature, which attacks and kills crew members of a cruise ship. That said, the game features one Alien from start to finish that cannot be killed, which leaves the players no choice but to use stealth tactics throughout the game in order to survive. Although there is a wide selection of weapons, they are only effective against humans and androids. Players also have the choice to finish the game by not killing humans with non-lethal weapons. One of the most amazing elements about the game is that the Alien artificial intelligence is not programmed to follow a definite path, but instead hunts the player through sound, sight and smell. Moreover, the complex sets of behaviours are set to unlock during encounters with players, thereby creating the illusion of the Alien learning from the encounters. The creature also has the ability to investigate disturbances. The PC and Xbox versions were released in October 2014.
